Prohibitory signs indicate actions that are not permitted on Cyprus roads: no entry, no overtaking, no parking, or vehicle-specific restrictions. They set the legal limits you must respect.
Study tip: These are usually circular with a red border, and a red diagonal line means the action shown is banned. Watch for numbers or vehicle symbols that narrow the restriction.
End of all restrictions (national speed limit applies)
Cancels every restriction that applied on the stretch of road behind you. The national speed limit for that type of road applies from here.
End of Maximum Speed Limit
Marks the end of the maximum speed limit signed earlier. The general limit for that type of road applies again.
End of No Overtaking
The no-overtaking restriction ends here. You may overtake again once you can see it is safe and legal to do so.
End of no parking zone with limited duration
Marks the end of a no-parking zone with limited duration. Normal parking rules apply beyond this sign.
Maximum Speed
The maximum speed in kilometres per hour for the road ahead. You must never exceed it, and you should drive well below it when conditions are poor.
