Priority signs establish who has the right of way at Cyprus junctions, narrow sections and crossings. They prevent conflicts by making clear which driver must give way.

Box junction sign
Marks a box junction with yellow criss-cross markings. Do not enter the box until your exit road is clear, except when you are turning right and are held only by oncoming traffic.
End of road with priority of movement
Marks the end of the priority road. Beyond this sign you no longer have automatic priority and must give way as normal at junctions.
Give priority to vehicles from opposite direction
The road ahead is too narrow for two vehicles to pass. Give way to oncoming traffic and wait until the way through is clear.
Give way to traffic on major road
You must give way to traffic on the major road ahead. Slow down, stop if you need to and only join when there is a safe gap.
Manually operated temporary GO sign
A hand-held GO sign used at road works or by an officer controlling traffic. Move off only while it is shown to you, and keep your speed low past the works.
Manually operated temporary STOP sign
A hand-held STOP sign used at road works or by an officer controlling traffic. You must stop and wait until the sign is turned or you are signalled on.
Priority of movement
You are on a priority road, so traffic joining from side roads must give way to you. Stay alert all the same, because priority is only worth what other drivers give you.
Priority to Your Direction
At the narrow section ahead you have priority over oncoming traffic. Be ready to give way anyway if a vehicle is already committed to the gap.
School crossing patrol
The sign carried by a school crossing patrol. You must stop when it is held out and wait until the warden and the children are clear of the road.
Stop and give way
You must stop completely before proceeding.
