By using ExamReady, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

  • Create an account or register on our platform
  • Sign in using email (magic link) or Google authentication
  • Make a one-time purchase (a Pass Pack)
  • Contact us through our contact form

This information may include your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe).

2.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our services:

  • Quiz and test results, including scores and progress data
  • Questions answered and accuracy statistics
  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and general location data
  • Pages visited and time spent on the platform

We retain your most recent IP address and device information to detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and duplicate free accounts. This information is accessible only to authorized administrators and is never shown to other users.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Track your learning progress and provide personalized recommendations
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing through Stripe, email delivery through Resend)
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities
  • Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition
  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS
  • Secure authentication methods (magic links, OAuth)
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Limited access to personal information by authorized personnel

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies. We group them into two categories:

Essential cookies are required for the site to function and are always active:

  • Session cookie (authentication) — keeps you signed in. Set when you log in; expires when your session ends.
  • anonToken — lets you take a limited number of free quizzes without an account, and enforces those limits fairly. Up to 1 year.
  • cookie_consent — remembers your choice below so we do not ask again. 1 year.
  • Stripe cookies — set only during checkout to process payment securely and prevent fraud.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics — _ga, _gid) help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are optional and are not set until you accept them. When you first visit, analytics and advertising storage default to "denied" (via Google Consent Mode), and a banner lets you Accept or Reject with equal ease. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookie_consent cookie in your browser, which brings the banner back.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access and receive a copy of your personal data
  • Rectify or update inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes — for example, a limited record of IP and device information kept to prevent fraud and abuse.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
