Bermuda Priority Signs
Indicate right of way at junctions
4 signs in this category
Priority signs establish who has the right of way at Bermuda junctions, narrow sections and crossings. They prevent conflicts by making clear which driver must give way.
Study tip: Learn the difference between 'priority road', 'give way' and 'stop'. The theory test frequently tests give-way scenarios at roundabouts and junctions.
Give priority to vehicles from the opposite direction
Where the road narrows, oncoming vehicles have priority. Wait and let approaching traffic through before proceeding.
Give way to traffic on major road
Give way to traffic on the major road ahead. Slow down and be ready to stop; you do not have priority.
Priority over oncoming vehicles
You have priority over vehicles coming from the opposite direction at this narrow section. Proceed with care; oncoming traffic must wait.
Stop and give way
You MUST come to a complete stop and give way to traffic on the road you are entering. After stopping, move off again only when it is safe.
