Mandatory signs tell you what you must do on Bermuda roads — the direction you must travel, a minimum speed, or a lane you must use. Ignoring them is a traffic offence.
Study tip: Mandatory signs are typically circular with a blue background and a white symbol. Remember: a blue circle means you must; a red circle means you must not.
Ahead only
You must proceed straight ahead; turning is not permitted at this point.
Keep left
Pass on the left side of this sign, for example at a traffic island or obstruction.
Keep right
Pass on the right side of this sign, for example at a traffic island or road works.
Mini roundabout
A mini roundabout: proceed around the central marking and give way to traffic approaching from your right.
Turn left
You must turn left here. Blue circular signs give positive instructions that must be obeyed.
Turn left ahead
You must turn left at the junction ahead. Position your vehicle in good time, keeping close to the left edge for the turn.
Turn right
You must turn right here. Blue circular signs give positive instructions that must be obeyed.
Turn right ahead
You must turn right at the junction ahead. Bear towards the centre of the road in good time before making the turn.
