Information signs give you helpful guidance about routes, services and facilities across Turks and Caicos, such as parking, hospitals, one-way streets and destinations. They do not impose rules; they help you navigate and plan ahead.
Study tip: These are usually rectangular. Learn to tell them apart from mandatory signs (circular, giving orders) so you never confuse guidance with a legal requirement.
Airport up ahead

Bus stop
A white rectangular plate with the words BUS STOP and the symbol of a bus. Buses stop here: do not park at the stop, and watch for passengers stepping into the road.
Direction sign on approach to a junction
A green rectangular plate with a white surround giving directions and place names for the junction ahead. Use it to pick your lane early before a roundabout or junction.
Hospital up ahead
A red vertical plate with a white letter H and a white arrow. A hospital is ahead in the direction shown. Expect ambulances and give way to any emergency vehicle, which is a ticket offence to obstruct.

A blue square with the white word IN. Marks the entrance to premises or a car park; use this opening to drive in.
No entry (premises)
A blue rectangular plate with the white words NO ENTRY. Used mainly at private and other premises next to public roads: vehicles may not enter through this opening. It is different from the red-disc no entry sign used on public roads.
No exit
A blue rectangular plate with the white words NO EXIT. Used mainly at private and other premises next to public roads: vehicles may not leave the premises through this opening.
No through road
A blue square showing a T with a white vertical stroke and a red bar across the top. The road ahead is a dead end for vehicles; there is no exit at the far end.
Out
A blue rectangular plate with the white word OUT. Marks the exit from premises or a car park; use this opening to drive out.
Parking place
A blue square with a white letter P. A parking place is available here or in the direction indicated.
Unsuitable for motors
A blue rectangular plate with the white words UNSUITABLE FOR MOTORS. The road ahead is not suitable for motor vehicles, for example a rough track or a route that becomes impassable.
U-turn permitted
A white disc with a red surround and a black U-shaped arrow with no stroke through it. A U-turn is permitted at this point, provided you can complete it safely without obstructing other traffic.
