Give way

You must give way to traffic on the road you are joining. Slow down, stop if necessary and enter only when there is a safe gap.

Give way (with GIVE WAY inscription)

The give way sign with the words GIVE WAY added. The rule is the same: yield to traffic on the road you are joining and stop if you must.

Stop

You must come to a complete stop at the line, even when the road looks clear, then go only when it is safe. A rolling stop is an offence and a test failure.
